Default Scurfa Diver Opinions?

I keep seeing these pop up on the forums at sub-$200 prices and wonder if it's worth a shot to pick one up? I've long lamented that Seiko no-longer makes a decent straight-forward quartz diver - and these look like they might fit the bill. So, what do you say, any experiences with Scurfa out there?

I have this for sale and seems pretty good to me. Reasonable size, solar, drilled lugs, ISO certified, and cheap, what's to ask more.

Yes it's worth the price. I've had the D1 Silicon for a year now. Considering the story behind his watches, and the fact he is real saturation diver himself, they are a great quartz diver.

I have the first iteration of the Diver One. Very good watch for the money. I've had it for 2 years and it is keeping good time, been in the ocean, and no problems. Original battery is still in as well.

I also have the first stainless steel as above, but i got it with the nato strap. The strap sucks, but the watch is quite nice. I've used it swimming and it was fantastic.

But the Citizen is a certified diver, the "scurfa" is not. More like yet another Fifty Fathoms homage.

Yep - I have an Excalibur and quite like it (I actually have two now, but will be putting the one up for sale soon). The rubber strap on it is far better than any that come on the Seiko SKX line.

Thanks also to others for your opinions. I think that the Scurfa with the more conventional white stick hands looks great and may have to pick one up.

I have a Scurfa Diver One SS 2nd Gen and it worth the price of admission. Everything rocks about it and it is even better on a nato strap. I have to say it is one of the best buys for the price.

Thanks! I keep looking at them, but just haven't yet pulled the trigger...

Scurfa Diver One Silicon owner here. Love the watch. It gets a lot of wrist time.
