A guy came buy and gave me a brown bag and in it a Zip Lock Bag this time with some some wrist watch's he did not like any more he said.
I opened the brown bag and the zip lock and there was also ....(3 more pocket watch's in there also so.
I was looking for a case and this one shows up. I now have the very case I need for this one and it dropped right in it.
Still need to find.... Crown/ Stem / Crystal yet
Crystal is ...31.42mm // Case - 37.84mm

Nice watches and some real serendipity. Good luck with the build :) Made in 1927? There's a discrepancy on dating serial numbers http://www.pocketwatchrepair.com/histories/elgin.html http://elginwatches.org/help/serial_number_info.html

Aloha and thanks 7s26,

I tried to find them but according to that website when I emailed them they told me ....These numbers were never documented by the company and then it was sold. But they are going great in repairs and just about done now. What I was interested in was these ..... " Balance Staffs " and what to do about them and I know now what to do. This one posted is done now and just a little more to finish assembling it. I also have a couple more I am doing and they are coming along great also.
This the thing : I have never done a Pocket Watch or Stop Watch yet so these are the first Three and I am getting them done and going too.

First one is a Elgin dated : 1923
__________________________________________________ _____
This Second one another ( Elgin ) also is going good also and all cleaned now....., Dated ...1931.
The one in the top posting is a ....1931 Elgin 12s and running great now. Also cleaning these dials are the challenge I like doing.

These look like this when I got them.
Pictures 3 & 4 ..... are the same watch....... ( Before and after). I have to reprint the name back on because it was very much faded already.
__________________________________________________ _____
The Swiss ...... Pictures .....5 & 6 are when I got it.
Picture ... 7 is how it is now.

Note: They all have ...." Keystone Silverode Case's ".
I wanted to try some thing different to see what I could do and I found out they are very simple to do. The biggest part to get done is the Balance Staff Replacements then it is easy going after that. these are .... (12s in size cases and movements ), and I particularly don't like those big one to much but I will do them if they pop up.
Aloha and thanks for looking
Louis

Beautiful watches and work, far beyond my abilities! I found this on my travels, it may be useful to you? http://watchguy.co.uk/technical/Elgin/

Thanks and I appreciate it also.
It is very helpful when others are considerate and thoughtful of things.

Your ability will increase as you go on, no problem to that.
Keep practicing and it will be just fine.
I also have times when I have a few problems then I try to work it out.
Everyday we learn some thing and everyday we advance forward.

Very cool to see these. Didn't think I'd appreciate the likes of a pocket watch but they're really appealing. I have a mate who would love them.

Also great work Louis on those dials!
