Aw man, that is too bad. :\

For the uninitiated: http://blog.dreamchrono.com/2013/11/seiko-6139-pogue/

I happened to wear my 6139 today and I'll certainly do so in Pogue's honor. God rest his soul.

Sorry to hear it, seemed like a nice guy who also made a Seiko famous apart from his other adventures, condolences to his family and friends.

William was only 84, it makes you realize how long ago the space program was running. Also it was a recently as 2007 that his name was started to be associated with the 6139-6005.

I am wearing one of my 'Pogues' tomorrow in respect.

Mr. Pogue lived a long and interesting life, and it pleases me to know that his achievements will be remembered by Seiko fans. Farewell, sir.

R.I.P. To the man.

Wonder if prices will be shooting up amongst the various eBay dreamers?

He was a great man, and I feel honored to have played a part in the 'discovery'. After my IW article, he sent my kids a bunch of signed books and dvds - he was a class act and a true American hero.

Hi, Dave,
We knew this great man and the 6139 "Pogue" because of your effort. Thanks, buddy! RIP Mr. Pogue. Have a good journey on your "last mission".
