Default "Planet Orient" experiences ?

I am thinking of getting me a "Planet Orient" - the orange version on bracelet. Do You have any experience with the piece ? Any comment will be greatly appreciated !

I had one with the black bezel on bracelet. See my video review:

Its nice and big.
The bezel has a little vertical play on mine. Quality is good, but not super.
Lume is ok.
It looks great on the wrist, and it is overall worth its price IMO.

P.S. It is one of those watches that gets the 'nice watch' comment quiet often I have noticed.

I won't own a watch that has a tachy bezel without a corresponding chrono second hand. This is just one of the rules I live by.

They could have done without the tachy bezel IMO. One mod done to this watch is to remove the text altogether.

For the price, it is a very solid watch. The bracelet is nice and chunky with solid links and solid end links. The case is chunky as well, although, it doesn't curve very well on top of the wrist. The dial and detailing is really nice. The lume is so-so. Mineral crystals are used front and back. The screw down crown is signed. No hacking or hand winding on this one. The clasp is signed as well and the fold over pieces are made of stamped steel, not machined.

Water resist is 100m or 10 bar

Overall, is a fun watch with nice wrist presence and a ton more quality than your garden variety Seiko 5. The movement is decorated and the rotor has the orient and logo nicely etched in color. If I remember correctly, this one uses the caliber 46U40 with power reserve indicator and date wheel.

I agree.
Looks much better painted a solid color.

A copy/paste job, but.....:

Great, beautiful watch.
Pro's:
Great color combination
Lume on the hands is great, almost as good as some of my Seiko divers
Dial has some nice details
Clasp feels solid
Decoration on the movement
The signed crown (the crest!)
The Price!

Not much to say in terms of Cons, maybe that the lume of the numbers fades too quickly & the useless tachymeter? Oh, and the fact that my date subdial doesn't align exactly... still haven't fixed it yet.

Anyway, since a picture speaks a 1000 words...

Not the most polished watch out there, but neither is it the most expensive. Great value for the money, and something showing a little bit of the Orient design team's flair. And while I agree on the Tachy being useless, it does break up the orange a bit which is nice. All in all, love the watch, it's ~+10/day seconds if I'm recalling right, which in my books is not bad. (shows my standards ;D )
