Thumbs up Mega Rare JDM 6139 Speedtimer

This is a Super Mega Rare JDM 6139-6002 Sunset Speedtimer. From what we can tell they were only produced in Feb of 2020 and it was a Totally Limited Edition of 2. That being said, only 2 have survived and I am now the proud owner of #2 out of 2....... This could change as "Time" goes on......
Kyle is the proud owner of #1 and his Mod motivated me to dig deep into the spares department and sacrifice a 6139-7060 Teal Dial + Movement, NOS 6139-6002 case, NOS Crystal, NOS Gaskets, and NOS Pushers, NOS Springs, and a New Speedtimer bracelet to bring this Sunset 6139 on line.

As it's been mentioned it's hard to photograph this Linen Teal Dial to fully appreciate it's ever changing color due and that is very true!

This Sunset Speedtimer is right up there with my Yellow JDM Speedtimer as two of my Favorites and as close as I'll get to owning a Sunrise Speedtimer unless someone decides to present me with one as a gift.......

Kyle, you do realize that this is all your Fault! But I'm as Happy as a Lark to be able to add this Beauty to the collection.........

Those are truly beautiful Tom but I think I remember reading a Seiko internal memo that mentioned that there were actually 3 of those, wink wink, knod knod. The JDM Sunset Speedtimer would scratch an itch I have had for way too long. #3 of 3 is fine for me, Haha. Nice work, my friend !! Congratulations on capturing the most illusive of beasts !

Now Google is going to return all sorts of fake news when people research "Teal Sunset Pogues".

Seikosis will soon sell AM dials to match.

Kyle will become the acknowledged Mastermind of the scheme and Tom will be credited with spawning the cottage industry of Sunset Pogues.

All Fantastic Developments !

... sure blame Kyle

Gorgeous Sunset Tom Your Sunset Dial is Stunning and in the Best condition I have seen with an unfaded Yellow Sunset Subdial and Beautiful Lume on the hour markers.

I also feel you did a much better job with your photos to capture the Sunset color. The color is Teal but is slightly more green and a brighter shade than the Sunrise. What I find very difficult is capturing the radiance of the dial.

Really Beautiful Watch - it was always meant to be

beautiful work Tom - super nice. You are fortunate to have the necessary ingredients to create this masterpiece. I'd say you have the genuine article there.

Thanks guys! I appreciate your nice comments!

Kyle gets the credit for the Creation + the Enabling. I had been sitting on these nos parts waiting on a beat up old Sunrise to surface that I could afford after missing out on a few in the past. This was the next best thing and actually I'm very pleased with the outcome. After all, it's still all original Seiko...

Love the case back Jon! I'll take two.........

Jim, You better hurry if you want to have #3. Something tells me there will be more to surface and prices on available Teal 7060's just went through the roof. Wish I had a few spares......

here's what i did to a standard pogue, lately, put a kanji day wheel on and a coke bezel, i happen to like it much better this way, i am saving wear and tear on the original bezel, and it could be converted back to stock in no time at all. and even though i have a nice bracelet for it, i like it better on a black rally strap. and that's one of the really nice things about these watches, you can change the feeling and character of them so quickly and easily....

buying a teal pogue is just not going to happen for 99% of the people who'd like to buy one, i include myself in there, so tom, i love what you did to create that watch, and it really is quite a creation, congrats!
