Default EU legislation and radio controlled watches

I am thinking of getting one of the Citizen Promasters but I am wondering about 2 things, maybe some of you will know because I haven't found the info anywhere.

1. I know that GPS controlled watches will adjust for the time zone when manually "asked" to do so, but what happens to radio controlled watch when one travels lets say from Berlin to London? Does it keep adjusting to CET or it switches to local time at some point?

2. Second question which is an interesting topic for sure is a recent EU Parliament vote in favour of permanent removal of Daylight Saving Time. I read that Citizen watches automatically adjust for DST (not sure about Seiko) and that this information is stored inside of the watch and not controlled by radio or GPS. I suppose that means if the DST is ditched in EU, watch will still keep adjusting to DST?

Hi !van, it has been several years since I have set up a RC watch. I will attempt to educate you, but if I am wrong, someone will correct me, I'm sure.

1. You will need to access the setting function in your setup menu and change your "Home" time zone to your new time zone, and back again when you return home.

2. You again need to access your setting function, and change the DST or Summer time setting to "Off."

It will be helpful if you have the operator's manual. Directions for both of those procedures should be in said manuals. Most manuals are available online if you don't have the paper one. Many are in PDF format.

Thanks a lot Mikey, exactly what I wanted to know!
