Default In your mind, the best Seiko dial is the .......

Inspired by this thread, https://www.thewatchsite.com/21-japa...tchfinder.html where the Snowflake is showcased, a few other Seiko's with awesome dials were mentioned. Please show us your Seiko with a GREAT dial:

I'll nominate the 3883 'Peacock':

Ive seen some fantastic GS Seiko Dials With One I showed Recently but for me
Working on Dial Legibility alone and its simplicity Im Going for the SPORK😜👍

My Favourite Seiko Dial.The Spork.
But I Must Give The Utmost admirability to my Seiko Save The Ocean Dial👍
Another Stunner from Seiko.

Not counting GS which I dont own (and make some of the best dials ever anywhere), I pick a couple of my blue dial watches including my new Turtle. Seiko is the master of the blue dial.

In terms of colour, yes the 3883 GFA is very nice. I also like a clean, simple dial. The 31-7000 is right up there as far as my tastes go.

Certain Pogue's have that perfect tone that makes the dial just pop! Here's my July 1975 6139-6005.

The 3883 'Peacock'/'Morpho' is rather good.
I like the snowflake dials as well:

Seiko did blue dials so well in the 1970's.
Here's a couple:

1972 6138-8010:

1973 5256-6010 Vanac:

It is true.
The only one that I own (1971 ") and matches Seiko is the" linien dial "from Rolex

Indeed.

They did so many amazing dials in the 60s & 70s and to my mind their normal guy divers and chronos were far more impressive 40-50 years ago than the reissues with modern tech manage to achieve today.

See a mint 62MAS dial and it blows away a new one, same with the 6105 where a decent original makes the new one look like an ebay fake.

Lets not forget the RRP on these amazing watches back then was around $100 with discounts available.

If an exact copy of the 6105-8110 was remade today by rights it should have had an inflated rrp of around $1000. Put it next to the reissue and I know which one Id buy.

There is a certain something about a time-only dial.

In addition to all the great nominations above, I'd like to suggest:

The Grand Quartz "stardust"

The marbleized Grand Quartz

The linen-dial World Time

The "rice-paper" early Quartz

And the classic 6139 "mini jumbo" -- a color that's rarely been matched to this day!

Default Grand Seiko

Love the dial as it changes from white to champagne and how all the second markers are tiny jewels.IMG_0561.jpg

The newer 200mm is top of my list for me. Especially when seen in person.
