Default Another your thoughts thread

Well, the title gives it all away

Offered to me for swap value of 240USD.

Not familiar with the models except the 4205

Can.you tell me.what they are and if you spot any Frankenstein parts

And if 240 is a fair value

Thank you gentlemen

Top Pic,
Looks like a 4205 at the top, then the Orange dialled thing which i suspect may be a mod, but could be wrong, then theres what looks to be a good 7002 which is either a 700A or J, and looks promising, and the bottom watch looks like a 7s26 0040.
Need clearer pics to know if they have AM parts.

Second pic is a couple of Citizens which i know little to bugger all about, and another 4205.
If the 7002 and 7s26 are all genuine i would certainly be happy with the asking price, and if the Citizens are in good order and genuine, youve got a bargain.

If the Orange dial thing is a SKX 007/9 id be interested in buying the case for a mod that i have in mind

Well worth the $240 +.

The 4205 is not a nice movement. They can be made to go reasonably well if the movement is in good condition to start with or excellent parts are available.

The Citizens are excellent. They have the 82xx series movements

Thank you Ivor. If it turns out to be the part you need I'll be happy to send it along

I'll be happy to get the 4205 off you if the movement is good and the older 4205a type. I have a 4205 here waiting for a movement replacement.

Well we ended up agreeing on these 3 plus a 6619 dress watch (in surprisingly good trim) for the equivalent of 110$

The orange dial has a 6309 movement and what I think is a 6309 slim case. I don't know if the dial belongs to a real (albeit different model ) Seiko. It needs a new tube for the crown

I think the 7s26 10 bar has an AM insert

The 7002 looks good but I'm no expert

The 10 bar has been running well ever since. The two others, still in the hospital for beat up Seikos.

Took it today as my beater for a flight to strife -torn Southern Philippines. Its battered looks means no regrets in case I am unfortunate enough to catch some incoming
