I saw this one for sale on the Bay and looks like it spent it's entire life in the Swamp... I have never seen lume turn so BLACK

I believe in the above example the hour markers are the "Phases of the Moon"

Well...6105 dials ( my error earlier!) don’t become available very often. I’ve been in the situation of needing a dial, and if I still was, I’d have bought it if the price had been reasonable. With the Seiko logo replaced, the indices relumed and a proper clean, it would still be better than an AM dial.

I have a 6105 with black lume. When I bought it, it smelt very strongly of some sort of spray lubricant - like WD40. The watchmaker I used to clean and service it said that the movement was caked in some form of oily gunk. I suspect that this also affected the condition of the lume.

I also find it surprising that the Bezel Insert on the 6309 is in Decent Shape?

"Lume Color is Consistent between the Hour Markers and Hands"
