Morning Neilo....love the watch and the reference to the Mission Imp film. I’m just starting to get where the names come from. This is probably a dumb question, so does the Arny Reference the other day apply to the one he wore in Predator?....anyway have a great day mate....spb079 today for me
Dennis Sir.I love Movie watches and I suppose a lot get nicknames mainly from us guys😂
The Seiko Arnie is not just from Predator( my favourite Movies)as Arnie was Gifted the Seiko from James Cameron as Cameron also wore one.
Arnie wore it in Predator,Commando,Raw Deal, and the Running Man.So the Nickname The Arnie Just Stuck. In Commando the Dial was changed on the watch for a Stopwatch Display.
The Seiko H558-5000 (Arnie) was also worn by Roger Moore very briefly in the James Bond Movie “A View To A Kill” and I’ve seen it in the movie North Sea Hijack.
I did a thread on Movie watches not long back worth looking at👍
Like your watch Neil. Small and light weight, just like Tom Cruise [emoji23]. Just joking..... Cheap mellow yellow for me on a bright but cool arvo. Enjoy the weekend.
Jeffrey Sir Cruise does like his G Shocks,He’s worn a few in his movies,Its actually bigger than it looks and for me that’s saying something,I do like the angular design of it as it goes off the norm for Casio G Shocks.Plus I’m into movie watches😜
Loving your “Phantom Aquanaut” How Unusual? But it has a Yellow Dial so that makes it Cool either Way👍⌚
TS Sir Another Gem
1973!!! What a year,I was 9 and my Home Town Football club won the FA Cup and Slade were No1 at Xmas with their Glammed up Xmas Song!
Well as there seems to be a bit of a Casio theme on here, I thought that I would give this an outing today (EDC 300), electronic data bank, World Time and chronograph....
Little video of what it does
