Absolutely Tom. Never meant to suggest otherwise.

I have a huge box of Seiko watch boxes that came with various purchases, plastic sleeves, etc. None of them excite me. Not important to me, it's the watch I wanted !

Seiko Shepherd came in at a very crucial time and helped me identify and sort out the seller. Todd is one of the nicest, most sociable, and friendliest guys around. He knows everybody... and I mean everybody! Thank You Todd

While Tom and I continued to look carefully at the photos of the bracelet (Tom was comparing to originals but I had nothing to compare to) another member emailed me:

Kyle. Do Not Buy It. Look at the Seller ID. Japanese name with 78. Probably Ivano Bancale a well known scammer. He often uses 78 in his user IDs. Take a look at this thread:

https://www.thewatchsite.com/33-off-...78-others.html

At this point I'm thinking "My Head Hurts"

I do not like to put money into the hands of scammers so:

I sent the Seller ID concern to another member who is extremely skilled at sussing out trolls, scammers, and bad guys and asked for his help. He took a closer look and concluded correctly that "78 and 78 may just be coincidental". Thank You Don

The seller of the Speedtimer bracelet never mentions the packaging in the item description...

... So the burning question of the day is "Was the packaging included in the sale and shipped along with the bracelet?"

I don't doubt his story but I still would have to doubt that it was the "correct" package for the bracelet. It's clearly marked 18mm.

I agree. Jon's NOS Speedtimer bracelet packaging looks 100% correct and completely original. The packaging with this bracelet looks totally different but as we all know with Seiko... anything is possible. I am hoping the seller included the mystery packaging with the bracelet

For those of you still following this uttterly confusing transaction

After finally being given the Green Light on the authenticity of the bracelet from the Speedtimer Experts I once again contacted the seller and we started discussing the price. After some negotiation the seller sent me a very fair and reasonable offer. I really wanted the bracelet and my finger was hovering over the Accept Offer button.

But I still was unsure of the seller and uncomfortable with his new seller status and low feedback score - Warning Lights were Flashing Caution. Seller replied to my concerns with more information about himself and also provided a link to his instagram. I was afraid that the longer this went on the more that there was a chance that someone else might buy the Speedtimer Bracelet ahead of me. From my own experience I have found that living with regret is more painful than making a mistake. The one that "Got Away" is forever etched into your memory.

I quickly looked over the seller's instagram page. Amazing watch collection and beautiful photos and when I pulled up one of his Seikos (a beautiful 6139 Speedtimer with Original Bracelet) and looked at the comments this is what I found:

Seiko Shepherd knows everybody I sent a PM to Todd and he replied very quickly that he bought a speedtimer from the seller in the past and had "no issues whatsoever"

I immediately hit the Accept Offer button and the Wahoo Speedster was mine

Many congratulations. Always nice when a bit of a gamble pays off, especially when you've been through the wringer beforehand.

Thank You! I ended up paying $400 for the bracelet plus $22 shipping from Denmark $422 total. Original Vintage Seiko ZLM01 Waffle straps in Good Condition are selling for between $300 - $400.

...and I believe there are a lot more Waffles than Wahoos out there....

I thought $400 for a Vintage Original Bracelet needed to complete a SpeedTimer was a Okay Deal. As an added bonus it is longer length and can fit up to a 8" inch wrist With Vintage Original Waffle rubber straps there is always a concern that they can break anytime. Once all the links are inspected I should be able to Wear the SpeedTimer Bracelet with No Worries!

Very Excited

WoW! WaHOOwa!

That is a NOS Beauty! Stunning! I have NEVER seen that bracelet before but from the end links it looks like it's for a 6139? What model SpeedTimer was lucky enough to get that Rare Unicorn?
