Re-tightening the Seiko 6139-600x endlinks.

Not sure if this is common knowledge here but I've seen it alot. I'm talking about loose endlinks that seem to rattle around loosely in place.

I did a little bit of fiddling and realised when you turn that "bar?" slightly away from the lug. It pushes against the bracelets side endlink more and sits tightly between the lugs.

Just thought I'd share.

Loose 6139 end links are common. I find the best way to re-size them is to hold the end link in place on the watch and squeeze the end link between your fingers until the tabs are against the case.

The other area that can be a concern is the small loops that go around the spring bar. I usually adjust them with smooth nose round tip pliers. That's essentially what your technique may be doing.

Only certain OEM end links such as the early folded style have the bar that you are showing as being twisted for a tighter fit. Many end links do not have that bar, and no aftermarkets with the proper shaped "ears" as shown ever have to my knowledge.
