Default SLA025 and 6159-7001

I keep getting an urge to sell off more (most ) of my small collection to fund one of the above.

What do owners of the SLA025 think to it ? compared to the vintage 6159 ?

Either of the two to be a every day wearer not a safe queen but not to be abused either.

Could they compete with the SBDX001 ?

John its certainly a Chunk Of Horological Coolness (Too small for me) but I can see your Fascination as its a Sexy Looking Watch.
The MM I know you borrowed mine a long time ago but to make the MM more me I would have to go SBDB011 600m spring drive to get similarities and bigger Size.

Selling off most of my collection for one Watch? then my choice at this moment is the New Omega ULTRA DEEP😜👍⌚️

I get your thinking John.

Go see an SLA025 in the flesh if you can. I loved it the monocoque case sits well, etc. It just didn't quite have the magnetic pull I offered 20% off list but didn't get it done

Default I Cherish The 6159-7001

Being that I no longer have a 001MM-- A Good Friend Wore me Down, years ago and she went to him. But I did love her, for sure but not compared to the 6159-7001. I have friends a FEW that I would give my last few $ to but not the 6159-7001:unless it had to do with sever illness for them or Children. I bought her from an Old Timer that got her Before the Internet was widely in every home., and I felt HONORED that he Sold her to me 10+ Years ago. She just this week returned from a Full Servicing, from one of our Best. I have her next to my 6146-80xx Grand Seiko's feeling she has a GS Mvt inside of her.= and a History second to only a few IMHO.

The Omega IS Gorgeous I can see how she could hold her own next to such Top Shelf verity of Spring Drive Seiko's and some of our Very Best. I recently have contemplated Selling 4-5 of my Best 6105-8110 Proof and Resits to fund a 2019 Stunning Blue Spring Drive with Small sec and PR balancing the Dial, forgot her Model But the Texture of her dial is Mesmerizing to me. BEAUTIFUL OMEGA.

I totally Agree the SLA 025 is The Most desirable reissue imho of any Seiko recently. She is just Stunning If I did not have a 6159-700x I would have one on order this Moment. IMHO Compared to the 0033 reissue 6105-8110 I feel its NOGHT and DAY----- just me---- I can look at the SLA 025 and Not wish anything was different Im happy for all that have and Love the 0033 anyone that is happy about a watch they have or like has all my Respect even if it does nothing for me. I will be long gone but I think in years to come the Value of the SLA 25 will only increase

i'd get the 6159 in a heart beat. i would pass on the 025. have you seen the 025 in person? the height of that bezel is insane; so much so that i didn't buy it. the original is always better than the remake for most things: movies, cars and watches. hehe.
