Default 6309 lower arbour port jeweling?

Hi all does anybody here recommend anyone to jewel the lower arbour port on my prized 6309 7049? I know he who must not be named does them.
It runs well but I would like it serviced and the lower arbour port jeweled for longevity. Thanks all.

I should imagine all the good guys can do that for you John, Duncan, Simon, Spencer, Guy etc etc, you would have thought Seiko would have jeweled that as standard back in the day but I suppose it was considered a cheap throw away movement back then but it has stood the time well.

I have one up jeweled by Spencer. It runs like a hot rod... however he’s not accepting new work at this time. I’d send it to Duncan if it were me.

You may be able to buy a set of upper and lower plates already jeweled by Adrian at VTA.

Or plates that are not jeweled, in good condition that'll last for decades (like the original un jeweled ones did)

You just have to find someone with a good pair or get a little used 6309 dress watch (case wear is the giveaway) and use the ones from that
