getting to the end of the month. i make sure i get each
of my watches onto my wrist each month, but i always
save the best for last...

in all this new 6105 hullabaloo, i realize that what i really
miss in the re-issue is the radial, spoke-like quality of the
minute markers that we see in this watch too, it's the
refractions through the bevelled crystal edge that are
missing, and i think that was a very important part of
the visual magic of the original....and i will not weep
over it it's just good to know why something doesn't
work for you....

Talking Does my wrist look fat in these ?

Just been trying out a couple of Kamatz 507000 (reduced Boy's / Ladies version) for size. Conclusion ? Bit small.

wow, that's a crazy case, i mean that in a good way
i modify cases to look like that, but i hardly ever see them
stock. is kamatz still making watches? i wonder if that
bezel could be replaced...

These series of quirky French-made 7A38 powered quartz chrono's were made in the late 80's and sold into early 90's - mostly in the USA (a good many via PandaAmerica TV channel). The brand, created by French aviator René Attias was sold off in 1991. Trademarks lapsed and it disappeared into oblivion. There's a bit of history further down this webpage: https://backerclub.co/html.php?id=4257 under the heading The family behind the watch

The nicest 7548-7000 I have ever acquired just landed yesterday. Remnants of the caseback sticker still visible. Look at ^that^ frosting... the OEM GL831 is still pliable and unworn. This is why we do it.
