Well, it was only a $75 part (and given the cost of the watch....), I say give it a shot. Take the case back off, remove 6 screws, lift off the old circuit, install the new one, 6 screws back in, replace caseback and done. Super easy.



The VHP circuits are programmable, so you have to let it run for two weeks (manual says a month, but I was impatient ), then adjust. Adjustment is just shorting-out one of two sets of contacts (+ or - time), each "impulse" will cause it to gain or lose 1/3 second. My new circuit was waaaaay off to start with (required 101 pulses!), but now running nearly dead-on.
