Coming to the realization that I'm not really a chrono guy, I've decided to slim down on that front. I received this 6139 Pogue from Tiger/John last year in a raffle (that post with full details here), so it only seems appropriate to pass this one to the next owner also via charity raffle.

The prize will be this 6139-6005 that had a complete service by Simon/SirAlan in November 2017. I've worn it a handful of times, and it's run/set/reset flawlessly during my year of ownership. The case appears original and unpolished, and comes mounted on a gently worn UncleSeiko President bracelet. Currently sized to fit loose on my 7.5" wrist, but two extra links are included and four micro-adjust holes remain.

I propose $20 USD per ticket with a maximum of two tickets per person.

All money collected will be donated to Metavivor, a non-profit organization that funds metastatic breast cancer research - an organization that has become increasingly important in my family's life in the last two years. I will cover the shipping costs, so every dollar you spend to buy into the raffle will go to this organization.

The competition is to pick the bonus ball #1 to #59 drawn in the UK lottery on Wednesday, April 17th 2019. (I was going to use a US-based lottery, but bonus balls don't go as high as in the UK, so this lets more people participate.)

In the event all tickets are not sold by this date and no one picks the correct winning bonus ball we will go on to the next draw and so on until we have a winner.

Rules:
  • Maximum two tickets per person.
  • Must have a substantive post count of 125 (now cut in half from originally 250 posts) or more posts, as of today.
  • Must have joined as a member of the SCWF in 2018 or earlier.
  • Payments must be made in US dollars, and sent via Paypal "Friends & Family" to avoid fees, and to maximize the donation amount to Metavivor.

If your interested in taking part then please feel free to pick your number/numbers by posting below. Shoot me a PM to arrange payment. I appreciate prompt payments.

Good luck!!
-Tom

All these rules. Maybe next year. I admire you idea. I think I am Pogued out anyway.

Another rule to qualify is if you figure out how to use the app. I am still confused. I doubt I will see this post again. I get lost on the threads.

I don't qualify, but I wanted to applaud you on the approach and also that you're donating the money to charity.

Also not taking part, as I'm pretty sure even a generous judge wouln't find a substantive post in my 9-year history here. However, this is one of the best things I've seen done on a forum. Cheers, Tom.

No desired date although I would prefer earlier Suwa dial rather than later so 7040 over 7049 . . .
