Default Help PMT56 - any experience? Success

I picked this up as faulty- itís lovely
I did get some movement from the hands with a reset and have popped a new cell in it today
Just wondering if it sounds like the cell needs a charge
Itís a perpetual calendar and I think as such needs setting up before setting the time
I nearly got there but the lights failing- the cap came from Cousins- could it need charging before use?
All the others Iíve had have worked out of the box

Set the watch on a window sill for the day allowing it to soak up some rays.

If it works after that then the cell is probably good.

Iím not 100% convinced itís fully working as the seconds hand stopped - Iíll leave it in the sun all day
Well after a bit of a restless night - I awake early and could see the sun coming out
I removed the crystal and bezel felon the watch and sat it on my window cil
After an hour there was a bit of movement so I performed a reset then zeroed the hands to 12 as per the manual (date to 1)
As laid out in the manual it started 2 second ticking - looking good
I then set the time, date and leap year for the perpetual calendar
Success it span around to the correct time and is sat lapping upmthe sun on my window cil
Just need a new bezel gasket now which I think Cousins have
