Default Thankyou DonJ53

I picked up a Citizen 8110 flyback chrono a few weeks back at the Midlands watch fair. It was a runner and the chrono worked, but wouldnt reset.
The crystal was obliterated.
Trying to find a crystal for one of these is almost impossible, so i asked Don if he could work his magic on it.
TBH when i was packing it up, i thought it was totally beyond it.

When the crystal came back i couldn't believe the results
While the crystal was away with Don i cleaned the case and pushers, then reassembled the watch when the crystal came back.

I didnt take any before pics but fortunately Don did.
The crystal before

And here it is back on the watch, with the reset now working after the case and pushers were cleaned.

Thanks Ivor and it looks the bees knees now. It is so satisfying bringing these old boys back to life.

Now I have to try to do one of mine...but I am not sure it will be possible because it's convex and the scratches are deep so will require some tooling.

That's a beaut! The original crystal has a sharper edge angle (for lack of a better description) so aftermarket ones just don't cut it.
