Default Complete Seiko Baselworld 2019 Announcements

With Baselworld underway there are a lot of different models being announced. This year Seiko have fifty five different new models, including 12 new GS models, that span their whole range and price points.

I have put together some info on the models and am updating these articles as I get more information.

Baselworld 2019 Announcement - Seiko Grand Seiko
Baselworld 2019 Announcement - Seiko Prospex
Baselworld 2019 Announcement - Seiko Presage
Baselworld 2019 Announcement - Seiko Astron
Baselworld 2019 Announcement - Credor
Baselworld Announcement - New Sumo & Save the Ocean Great White Shark models
Baselworld Announcement - Prospex Ana-Digi, Monsters and Shrouded Divers
Baselworld Announcement - Prospex Automatic Field Watch
Baselworld Announcement - Enamel Presage Models
Baselworld Announcement - New Cocktail Time Models
Baselworld Announcement - New Presage Zen Models
Baselworld Announcement - New Premier Models

There are quite a few different interesting pieces this year and I think many will be very popular. The auto field watch is interesting and I find it strangely appealing, hopefully this will be relatively cheap, I am guessing priced like a SARB. The green and purple Cocktail Time models also should look great in person. The new Ana-Digi "Arnie" model is nice and the addition to sapphire to the Sumo is a nice upgrade that might convince me to buy the green one.

The higher end models are a mixed bag for me but I do like the handwind SD GS models, I can't afford them but I do like them. Not so keen on the Sports models but sure they will look better in person.

The Astron releases were likely my biggest disappointment and I am hoping that there may be additional releases during the rest of the year.

Amazing summary as always. Thank you Anthony !

The new Sumos with 70 hours power reserve and sapphire crystal are very attractive values. I flipped my new for 2018 green SZSC004 it was gorgeous but just not something I was comfortable rockin' on the wrist, it was so green. This new SPB103 may be on my short list.

Reviewing the new Cocktail Time Presage line up, it seems to be a twist that they would 'flatten out' the dial texture and make some LEs.

I compare the SRPB46 in Rose Gold color to the newly announced SRPD36 in yellow gold color and find the move away from the Cocktail Time signature dial pattern an odd twist, though quite compelling it really looks good.

SRPB46 on sale for some time now:

compared to the newly announced SRPD36:

The dial pattern on the SRPD36 is the same as the one used on the Starlight SRPC01 model from last year. I think that may also have been used on some other Cocktail LE models as well. I also like the texture on that one.

I have added the Australian retail list pricing and availability. Note that the AU pricing includes GST so you would need to remove 10% to get ex tax then convert to your local currency and this will give you a ballpark list price on the model.

Availability should be similar globally, potentially excluding Japan as they often have different release schedules.

Thanks for sharing Anthony. Lots of nice stuff to keep one preoccupied, the new Arnie is growing on me as well as the sumos. The LX models look very nice, except the batman styled gmt.

To make it a little easier to get a complete overview of the new watches announced I put together a page with them all included.

Baselworld 2019 Announcement - Complete Seiko Models

When you see them all listed it gives you some insight into the size of the Seiko range as these will be outnumbered by models announced outside of Basel throughout the rest of the year.

I am not aware of any other brands that had close to this many new models being announced.

Great work akable - thanks for doing that.

I like the new Sumos, never really warmed to the bezel font on the old ones. The crowns on those Prospex LX divers though - they look massive!
