well hello and welcome to SCWF....great to have u with us...that is one of my favorites...well u need to see if the old battery was left inside..they can really make a mess of things...the original band is still on the watch and they are very hard to find and very expensive if u do..i would highly suggest you keep the original band and have the entire watch cleaned and serviced...there are some great watchmakers over by you...i am sure they will chime in...that is well worth repairing and most of us would love to have a beauty like that...God Bless,John

It broke many years ago and he super glued it 🙀 it's still held together but would like to put a new one on. I took it to be cleans and they have got it working again 😀 I just hope he'll be happy that I've got going again.

This model was released around mid 70s from memory... if you tell us the 8 digit code on the back we can be a bit more accurate.

Do not let go of the original bracelet, it can be fixed.

Paging @siralan - have you done any of this module Simon?

If the 6-digit serial number begins with "55" as it appears to, then it's from May 1975. First digit of the serial number is the last digit of the decade of production, second digit is the month.
