Well the wait finally ended for me today. Although other countries got in there earlier...

The call came in that it had arrived and I was in town as fast as possible...
This is my first "tuna" and I'm so happy I held off. But will it be my last tuna...

I have been wearing it since I picked it up this afternoon. But just for the joy of an un-boxing... back in the bag it goes.

Yet another white bag to add to the collection...

Inside is something dark and mysterious...
Did I just buy a brick...??

Nice padded box within the thin card sleeve cover...

Made in Japan...

I got your number...

But is it golden within...?

The devil is in the detail...

Now with the date corrected... In my excitement I set it to the 9th...

really like the clean sharp dial, sticking to the "dive tool watch" look...

Time to reflect...

Nice touch with the black keeper and titanium buckle...

The very familiar case back... for those who already have Tuna in their collections

Not an overly long strap... The strap, from what I see, is the compound that is being used on the Seiko's new silicone rubbers... Very soft and comfy.

The all important strap code. Will need to see about getting a spare at some point...

The all important wrist shot eye candy. I'm loving it for size...

I had to check out the lume... well it would be impolite not to... lol!

Also available in the store is one of the SLA025 limited edition. Anyone want to buy a Kidney?
The box you get is just absolutely amazing... Found a vid showing it better.

Video link added also.

So, that is me. Back to watches now that the golf season is ending. Two new purchases this year.
Just need to try stay off eBay until after Christmas...

Thanks for looking & happy watch hunting!

Ian Sir as I said before nice to see you back Mate.
We go back a long time and I am so happy you landed one of most people’s grails including your own.
Treasure it Sir and a Huge Congrats from Me.:3tens::3tens:

Thanks Neil it is good being back reading on the forums, plus seeing you posting so much again.

This will be added to the daily wearers rotation, as I always buy to wear.

One more grail (half) ticked off the list. The original 600m SQ dialed 7549 will be added at some point. But I am so happy with this re-creation by Seiko.

Thanks for looking everyone...

Thanks Jim. It has been a long wait since April ordering.
From what I was told at the time this is 1 of only 3 available in Finland.

Wonder what will be on the wrist tomorrow...?

The Seiko Boutique in Amsterdam has one also, or at least did have one the other week, when I messaged them. They also have the best customer service.

Great un-boxing post Ian and I'd agree that it's and fabulous recreation of the original. To me though its more like a mixture of the 7549 600m quartz and the 7C46 1000m that replaced it. The perfect mix for me really as I owned both of those models years back and sold them in a moment of madness.

I'd agree about the packaging been somewhat underwhelming but who cares when the watch is this good and for me boxes etc only get stored in an attic or somewhere anyway.

Mine arrived Tuesday and needless to say I won't be selling this one.:)

With the smaller but lovely Solar Tuna.

Cheers
Neil

Another one appears on the board. Congrats to yours also.
My day wheel is EG marked. Which I believe is English / German
Would have loved it to have had Kanji.
