So i have finally sorted out some pictures for my unboxing.

The link takes you to their website with some fantastic pictures from inside. I wish i had remembered to take my camera out of my bag for a Spacewalk picture, but i was so overwhelmed by the customer service from Delphine and the joy from purchasing what has been my grail watch (even more than my 6105-8119) that i completely forgot.

The extent and range of high end Seiko's on display was just breathtaking. I would highly recommend a visit to them if you ever get the chance to be in Paris. You will not be disapointed.

So onto the eye candy. (appologies for the not so good photos)

The little bag of goodies from Paris,

A different type style of printing on box than what we have seen from those purchasing direct from Japan. I never noticed this at the time so was unable to ask the reason why.
Could be for the european market sales...

Even so, the finish in the box is of a very high quality. Giving the impression of wood rather than card.

With the box lid removed to show the internal felt material lining and the all important 2 year quarantee.

And then to the joy that lies within. The spare rubber strap held in place by means of material expanding bands. I tried so hard to limit the glare on the crystal but failed.

The money shot...

The best shots i could get...

This watch will be no drawer queen. I intend to wear it as much as possible. As can be seen it already has a mark on the bracelet. Happened on the last day in Paris
while having a very nice coffee sitting outside in the spring sun. It rubbed against those little round metal tables outside the cafe's and bars.

Need to get some hints from Neilo on removing marks.

Side by side with my work horse SKX007K. Now taking a well earned rest within my watch display box.

The obligatory wrist shot with some flecks of lint on the glass and insert.

While speaking with the staff in the shop about what other Seiko's i have, she gave me gave me 'his & hers' freebies.

Now what could these be?

Real leather 'Seiko Center' embossed mobile phone sleeves. Does this now mean i now need to get an iPhone...?

Also a perfect size for my 32gb iPod touch... (i realy must practice taking photo's of watches)

They also let me take a copy of the Seiko 130th Anniversery book. I was so tempted to slip two into my bag.

Dedicated to perfection...

The massive Spacewalk watch. If only i was brave enough to ask if i could try on the one they had on display. Photographs dont do it justice.

And so its time to say 'au revoir' to Paris. But in the imortal words of Arnie "i'll be back'.

edit:spotted some spelling mistakes and added MM300 to subject line to help with forum searches later

Saw your MM Neil on the trading post, but at the time it was Trade only then it went for sale while I was on holiday only saw it on my return SOLD  not saying I would have bittern your arm off but it's was a possible purchase missed, and no import tax etc, MM has been on my radar for many a year but do not want to buy from overseas, then there is the reason you sold yours would I actually wear it ??? not if it ends up like my Sumo :(

Without wanting to be rude could you please give me the price of the MM by PM if need be, thanks
Not a problem Geran. The price is also listed on Seiko Center Paris web site.

€1999 total and no need to pay import taxes of 23% into Finland. I planned getting mine as the wife and i had planning long weekend in Paris for easter.

Below is a link to the page.

edit: plus in the UK you have the added bonus of Easyjet flying into Charles de Gaulle airport. Then its a direct RER line B train link into Paris city centre. You could probably do it all in one day depending on flight times >:D

:iagree: i like your thinking...

again thanks everyone. this was a 'third time lucky' getting this. as something always came up that required the funds.
but it has made me appreciate my grail even more.

PS.It would be nice if Seiko Center had an online shop too, like Seiya etc for european residents :57:
i would need to sell a kidney to cover my credit card if they did. but then would miss out on a wonderful experience.

Let me add my congratulations, Ian. Oh, and if your camera can accept filters, a circular polariser is an excellent way to cut down on reflections when photographing watches.

My thoughts now that one week with the Marinemaster is over.

I am still blown away with the quaility and finish of this time piece. I have still to time it for loss or gain, but so far it has not skipt a beat.

By now i would have had to adjusted the time on my work horse. Mainly due to accidentally dropping it onto the parquet flooring in the flat. Ouch! Leaving a little dent in the wood & causing it to loose 5 mins a week.

Even with it being cloudy days here in Helsinki, it doesnt take much to get the lume charged. Turning me into the 'sad man' at night staring hypnotized by the bright green glow. Plus the lume glow is very strong and long lasting.

The Brother inlaws wife, who is an area manager for a large watch & jewelery retailer here in Helsinki was very impressed with the feel and quality of the Marinemaster. Saying that here in Finland the Seiko brand is very under appreciated. With people preferring instead to pay similar money for Swiss.

Im also liking the ratchet facility on the clasp. As during the day it alows you to loosen off the strap for when the wrists expand. This will come in handy in the summer while sitting out on the bar terraces enjoying the 23 hour daylight. I did add one of the links back to the strap the other day and fine adjusted at the clasp. But it didnt feel the same. So back it went to how they fitted it in the Seiko Center. I also have a spare MM rubber strap that i have for my 6105. So may swap over to that at some point.

So, is the Marinemaster value for money? Answer to this is 'Does a bear sh*t in the woods?'

One more wrist shot. MM out enjoying the last of the snow to leave us here on a clowdy Helsinki day.

Thanks for the tip Sir Les. I will need to have a look and see what polarised filters are available for our old Sony DCS-150 compact camera. It can be a hit and miss sometimes on quality. Or maybe thats just due to my photo skills.
