Interesting Aqualand Battery Changing Experience

Hello To All,
I recently went to change the batteries in my classic Aqualand as they had died. I bought Maxell 370s. They matched the size of the Energizer 370/371 that I had in it previously. The watch would not run with the new Maxells. Luckily I have another black Aqualand so used its Energizers in the first watch which now runs fine again. By the way, the black Aqualand works fine on the new Maxell batteries that would not work in the first Aqualand. I believe I have the right battery size. My original Aqualand seems finicky with its batteries it seems. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

Hmmm, interesting. Maxell's numbering system doesn't follow Energizer's -- the proper equivalent to the 370 is the SR920W. Is that what you have? But regardless of that, the fact the Maxell's ran OK in the black Aqualand but not in the Classic is very strange. Must be something to do with battery manufacturing tolerances and differences in the contacts dimensions of your two Aqualands. Or maybe not, as the case may be..... ???
