Default Help with my A159-5019 SEIKO DIGITAL

Hello, I am having a problem with my Digital A159-5019, the battery run down so I put a new battery in, the display is now constantly flashing and will not settle, I think I have put the right cell in,does anyone have any idea,s how to correct it, and just to be sure what is the right battery to fit,

Some watches start to flash their digits when the battery is almost empty. (should be mentioned in the manual if that's the case) Check your battery and the contacts of the watch.

A 389 size battery @ 1.5v should fit, if it still persists then there might be some microscopic shortening going on in the circuit board , a good once over with a fibre brush and some alcohol tipped buds might help

Some of the A159 modules are sensitive to low voltage. Also make sure that you are using an SR (silver oxide) battery and not an LR (alkaline).
