Default 6105-8000 Question

Hey All,

I just picked up up a late production 6105-8000 dated June 1970 from a local garage sale picker. It's undergoing a full overhaul which was desperately needed but to my surprise the watch has a 6105B movement instead of the 6105A. Is it possible that late production 8000's might have already been fitted with the 6105B's? The owner was a professional diver and not a collector and there are servicing marks inside the case back, so that's why I'm wondering..

Cheers,

Konrad

Aloha! I too have a late production 6105-8000 sans the hacking lever and it has a 6105B movement as well. I am sure the other members know more about this and will contribute as well. Mahalo, Fred

Many of the late 8000/9 did have the 6105B movements, i also had a 6105B movement that dident hack when i stripped it the hacking lever was "missing" whether this was how it left the factory or had been removed later i don't know.
