Stunning! And interesting to see an English-French demo hangtag. I have three of the English-Spanish ones, but have never seen one in any other language.

Also kind of funny since you'd assume she bought them both in the same place, but I guess if Seiko didn't sell them with Dutch as an option, one is as good as the other...

Amazing pieces in stunning condition. It is great to see such fantastic examples.

The hang tags are really nice and the example day display tags are very cool.

These where bought by her father who was a wholeseller of Seiko watches in Brussels. That is why they are in French and English I would assume.

Ok, let's get started with the first watch; the 6117-6010 with silver dial from March 1969.

This model, the World Time GMT automatic, has a dial in linen look, rhodium baton markers with tritium on 12, 6 and 9. The lume is intact and works fine.

The caliber is a 6117B introduced in 68, in essence a 6105 caliber with added GMT function. The caliber was used in the Navigator Timer models but also in the second generation World Timers, replacing the 6217A movement in the first generation models.

The internal bezel can be used to track the time in the second time zone. The red GMT hand goes around the dial once in 24h, and the internal bezel kan be rotated by twisting the crown (works fine).

It's easy to see if its day or night in the second time zone - black is night, blue is day.

REMARKABLE 1: This one, just like many world timers produced between 68 and 74, has the error on the dial. If you look closely, you can see that London and GMT are not mentioned together.

REMARKABLE 2: The red quality check sticker is still on the caseback "passed JWCII".

I just saw that the other world timer does not have the london/gmt error on the dial; interesting!

Awesome!
I was wondering, 40 year old watches, 40 year old oil, I suppose a service might be wise if you'd want to wear them more often? (I wouldn't feel very comfortable wearing these a lot anyway, the problem with pristine irreplaceable watches)
