Stumbled on this one cheap.
The problem is, the pictures are so bad, I don't know if it's the SRPC03 (Sakura Fubuki) or the SRPC97 (Fuyugeshiki).
For what I paid, either one would be fine.
I'll have to wait and see . . .

Looks like the Srpc97 to me. I do have to say, with such bad quality photos I commend your bravery. Nice watch though!

Thanks. Wasn't so brave, since it is supposed to be only 3 months old, and the price was way below value. It could possibly be the SRPC99 (with the gold) but I don't think so (hope not).
The SRPC97 was sold with a bracelet, though, so I don't know if the owner put it on a strap, or what.
The plot thickens. I'll post again when all has been revealed.

There are good deals to be had by people who post poor photos/descriptions of their items being sold. If you have a sharp eye you can do well.

Good luck - it looks like a nice watch!

Looks pretty early (matte finished hands). What’s the date?

Recent eBay pickup ... 6106-8100 with the blue chevron dial (seller pics). Hard to see just how good the dial, chapter, and hands are but they didn’t look bad.

One of these days I’d like to find the more common dark-grey variant of this watch as well — IMO these early 70m divers don’t get the attention they deserve.

Nice pick ups. That one on the bottom looks like the one I need for my 6119-6020, not an easy one to find.

Yep, it's the SRPC97 (Fuyugeshiki).

Perhaps not a Seiko ... got it from Ramon and he did not say it is a Seiko so he suspected it to be a fake or a cobbled together piece.
I grabbed it for the movement.

I may do a mod with this one...

Dial looks lovely under that crystal. Better than the one I have though it's a favourite of mine none the less and wouldn't let it go. Let us know how it turns out.

This was on my long-term wish list, but there other models I wanted to pick up first. This one popped up on eBay with Bid or Best Offer, so on a whim I sent a best offer for what felt like too little, but it was accepted! I sent a message to the seller and they said it's 100% working. Crossing my fingers I got a bargain

Hi, Brad. Whether you got a 'bargain' depends very much what you paid for it - and how much value you attach to originality. I've long believed, since I first saw this particular 7A38-7140 s/n 560452 on eBay, back in 2017, that it's been re-sprayed. Be interesting to see what you make of its condition, when you receive it. I'll go back and finish off the post on my forum.

I seem to have gone a little crazy this week. I have a 6139-7101 'Helmet', 0703-6020 Elnix and a 4006-6031 Bellmatic on the way to me. They were all good deals so I'm not sure if I'll hang on to them all. Depends on what else I manage to find.

As per Time Seller above, this Presage Fuyugeshiki appeared on the bay 30 minutes ago for £150. It immediately had many viewings so I had to make a quick choice....gamble or leave. It's also 3 months old but on the bracelet, boxed with papers.

So I gambled.

Yes, it has the correct movement (gold rotor) and crown so hopefully not Indian.

My first introduction to the Tuna series and hopefully not my last. Will be on its way from Japan after the proxy is done "negotiating with the seller"... whatever that means.
