I picked this up on the bay a few weeks ago along with a new crystal. I am going to get it serviced soon but I just wanted to check here. To me it looks good but wanted peoples opinion on if it has any fake/aftermarket parts. Thanks!

And secondly, a beautiful Rally Diver cal. 6106-8237 dated February of ‘71. Watch is original to itself excluding crystal though original is included.

Yes. Long search. Lots of patience involved. Thank you bud. Never intend to make anyone jealous. Maybe a bit excited though.

I think that you did very well with this 6012 (correct?). I haven't seen these models (incl the 6015) being frankened but others may have a different experience. It all looks right and very clean to me.

Can you show a picture of the back cover?

Wow ... great acquisitions! In particular, that Rally is stunning.

The last -8227 I saw in anywhere near that condition was at least a couple years ago, and I think they’re pretty thin on the ground. My -8229 is out for a full spa treatment ... I’ll be over the moon if it comes out anything like that!

Nice pick up.

I spotted a few more in the background of the seller's pic.

Were these also available?

eBay impulse buy ... the last thing I need is another 6309, especially one from the Philippines. But this one looked fairly honest, lume notwithstanding. Looks like the movement’s got some hard miles on it, so I guess we’ll see how it runs when it gets here.

I saw that listed by a buyer I've bought lots of watches from.

They generally do a good job of the movement overhauls

I always re overhaul them anyway before I sell them again.

They don't water pressure test them (I also sort that too) but as it's a classic diver - you'll know not to have it in water

Over the moon. After losing out on a example similar in condition last week, redeemed myself this morning by snapping up this near mint condition Slim Case 6309-729A from Dec. ‘87.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease.
