Default Is there a reason why..............

a lot of Seiko Arnies have a dis-colored 5:00 indice?
I bought mine awhile ago at a really good price with it being all original and no flaws except the indice at the 5:00 position was brown as in possible water damage at some time or other!
I scour the Bay from time to time and notice too that quite a few of the Arnies also have that same "flaw"
Am I simply imagining it or is there perhaps a reason why!?
