Strap on a 6309-8040
Recently picked up this watch from a member here. I knew going in the bracelet may be too short and is was. The attachment area on this watch is not the usual type so time to get creative. I recalled seeing this method out there somewhere. The strap I chose is inexpensive genuine imitation alligator leather in 24mm. This is the width this watch uses stock.
Need to cut out a 10mm wide area in the center of the springbar area.
Cut down 3mm and peel back the cut area outer skin to expose the padded center of the strap.
Remove 1.5mm of the center padding.
Lay the skin back over, trim to match the two side areas and glue back down. I used superglue.
To attach the strap use a screw bar.
