Default Acid etched 6105

Hi guys, not been here for a little while (had a baby and moved etc....)

Been seeing a lot of people acid etching knives etc..I wondered what it'll do to a watch. Couldn't find anything online of anyone trying/being daft enough to or actually had.

So i went for it.

I'm happy with the results, did the strap hardware the same time.
The only thing is the 300m bezel insert, got "eaten" a bit more.
So I made a new strap as it deserved one.

*for the purists. I bought this over 20 years ago, it had a 6119 movement and aftermarket dial, hands and bezel insert.

Hope you like the result.

Actually like that a lot. Bit like it stared at Medusa!

I like it. Looks like it survived re-entry on the charred arm of a luckless spaceman.

What about sticking a metal bracelet in the acid, maybe a sharkmesh? With the same pitted look I think it could go very well.

I didn't do it myself, sent it off to a guy in the states a few years back, Randall Benson.
