Default Tell me about this 6309-729A SCUBAPRO

Here is a modded 1986 6309-729A. The dial says JAPAN 6309 - 704L T.
Does anyone know the source of this dial and / or Scubapro mods in general?

Any way to find out where the watch was made originally if not Japan?

Thanks

It's a Loy special, fake as a $3 bill. Scubapros were only 6306. Any 6309 that claims to be a Scubapro simply...isn't .
Thailand or Philipinnes likely, not Japan ,that's for sure

Not many 6309 slim cases where produced out of Japan. They are identified by Japan stamped on the case back and Made in Japan on the dial. Most seem to be 729a Pepsi models that I have seen. The rest, like 99.5 where made in China. 99.9% of these re-dials are out of the Philippines. Loys, Apol, John Dizon etc. these are very hit and miss....Quality control is not as important as quantity when $US are involved it seems.... Great people though!!!

That's from the Philippines for sure but I'm pretty sure there are genuine 6306,6309 and even tuna scubapros.
