Default Subtile mod of SKX

I recently got ahold of a few years old SKX007. It was running bad and had some scratches and scars. I decided to give it some TLC.

A few hours later the movement was cleaned and running strong. I could not resist giving it a touch of orange on the second hand.

I polished the crystal with sandpaper (600, 800, 1200, 2000 and 2500) and finished it off with some Ceriumoxide to make it shine.

A subtile mod I think adds something without taking away the essence.

A little late to this thread, but the orange second hand looks awesome on the 007. Hmmmmm. Thanks for posting this.

I agree on the second hand being perfect, but of greater importance for me is the write up on polishing the scratches out with series of finer sandpaper. I think starting with 600 would have scared me, but the results prove it works great.
