Default Orient 300m Saturation Divers (2006-2011)

What follows is a short compendium of the different models of Orient 300m saturation divers that have been issued from June 2006 up until 2012. I welcome any revision comments anyone has, particularly with regard to years of manufacture for each model.

June 2006-2010 Models:
CFD0C001M (Orange), CFD0C001B (Black)
(International Market Models)

Mechanical Movement: ORIENT caliber 46N4A, Made in Japan
Self-winding movement (Does not hack or hand wind)
21 jewels
21600/hour vibrations
Power reserve indicator
Stainless steel case and bracelet
One-way 60-click rotating bezel
Sapphire crystal with anti-reflection coating
Screw caseback, screwed-down crown
Special extendable buckle for metal bracelet
Lug width 22mm
Diameter 45.7mm
Thickness 16.6mm
230 grams with bracelet

WZ0261FD (Black/Gold), WZ0251FD (Black), WZ0271FD (Yellow)
“Orient Stars”
JDM (Japan Domestic Market) Models

Mechanical Movement: ORIENT caliber 46N4A, Made in Japan
Self-winding movement (Does not hack or hand wind)
21 jewels
21600/hour vibrations
Power reserve indicator
Stainless steel case and bracelet
One-way 60-click rotating bezel
Sapphire crystal with anti-reflection coating
Screw caseback, screwed-down crown
Special extensible buckle for metal bracelet
Lug width 22mm
Diameter 45.7mm
Thickness 16.6mm
230 grams with bracelet

Identifiable on dial by “OS” logo in a somewhat gothic-style font.

May 29, 2010-2011 Models:

WZ0181EL (Black), WZ0191EL (Yellow)
Mechanical Movement: ORIENT caliber 40N5A, Made in Japan
Self-winding movement (Hand Wind & Hacking)
21 jewels
21600/hour vibrations
Power reserve indicator
Stainless steel case and bracelet
One-way 120-click rotating bezel
Sapphire crystal with anti-reflection coating
Screw caseback, screwed-down crown
Special extendable buckle for metal bracelet
Lug width 22mm
Diameter 45.7mm
Thickness 16.6mm
230 grams with bracelet

Identifiable on dial with the more simplistic “OS” Orient Star logo rather than the Facing Lions seen in previous versions.

July 2011-Current Models:

WV0041EL (Black, JDM), EL02001B (Black, International)
WV0051EL (Orange, JDM), EL02001M (Orange, International)
Mechanical Movement: ORIENT caliber 40N5A, Made in Japan
Self-winding movement (Hand Wind & Hacking)
21 jewels
21600/hour vibrations
Power reserve indicator
Stainless steel case and bracelet
One-way 120-click rotating bezel
Sapphire crystal with anti-reflection coating
Screw caseback, screwed-down crown
Special extendable buckle for metal bracelet
Lug width 22mm
Diameter 45.7mm
Thickness 16.6mm
230 grams with bracelet

Identifiable on dial with the more traditional “Facing Lions” Orient logo, just like the original first run of Orient 300Ms.

Note that the SEL02001M and the EL02001M are identical, but with the “S” possibly differentiating between the Asian and American markets. Which market the “S” designates, I do not know.

Also note that the SEL02001M and the EL02001M models appear physically identical, with the “S” possibly differentiating between the Asian and American markets. Which market the “S” designates, I do not know.Similarly, the “C” may differentiate between foreign and domestic markets within the FD0C001 and the CFD0C001 model designations.Apparently, and at least for the international market models, the 2011 production run no longer uses the Seiko serial number system. Instead of a year, month and production number, every watch is simply stamped with “M5” where the s/n would otherwise have been placed.

Love these. Been wanting a WZ0261FD for ages. Still waiting for one to rear it's head in mint condition.

The white dial one is actually pretty awesome in real life, as evident from Yeoman's photos. Not sure though about how practical it would be underwater.

I checked the Orient 300 non hacking Diver while i was visting Singapore in late 2012 , the store was called Big Time & they sell + distribute Orient watches in Singapore . I was very impressed by this piece , although its not exactly cheap , it still is a great value for money Diver watch
