Default Early Bday Present Mako XL

Pleasantly surprised to find a package awaiting me when I got into the office this morning. A Mako XL!
This is my first Orient and have to say that I am impressed with the heft, finish, band, list goes on!
As an owner of several automatics, this model has been on my radar for some time. The size is perfect, it took me a little trial and error to determine that I am not a good fit for anything under 45mm. The quick set date is kinda fun, adding function and aesthetics.
I was drawn to Orient due to the in-house movement factor. But I have to say that this is the first watch (with a bracelet) that I have not replaced the band on. It's actually comfortable.
Like to hear others experience with Orient in general.

I got my first Orient today and it happens to be a Mako XL like yours. Totally concur with what you said. Strap is supremely comfortable as is the watch head itself. The level of fit and finish is astounding considering the price. I got it for $105 from a eBay seller. The non hacking/crown winding movement is not a big deal since it's so similar to the SKK007 but the day part of the day/date complication is going to be tough to overlook. I wish they had picked a nicer font. Something bolder that fills in the window better.
