Thumbs up Well a Aqualand C023 for LongBike Finally

Well Folks, another one off the bay . I seen it and the watch bug grab me. I finally got a Aqualand 1 C023 all original, on original rubber for a good price I would say. Its incoming and should be here next week. The seller was great and had only two pictures, but they look good to me . So now I have to shop for the original Bracelet like a two Tone one maybe. I think its a rare find but have to try getting one . ( But still cant find the original bezel for my last one. )
This is the watch, I would say ....... 95-97 %
to original. Original owner too. Be looking for a original watch box soon.

Sometimes eBay treats you right! By the way, I was stationed in Hawaii for about 10 years. Left about 6 years ago and miss it terribly.

, That was military service right, I live above the Pearl Harbor Naval Base , and over looking the ocean and waikiki areas. Nice to know others have been here and did enjoy thier stay. I am originally from the largest Island ( Big Island ), where all the volcanoes are at , lived in California, Naval Station Longbeach, Stationed there for a while right before getting out. Yes Ebay has been real good to me so far, no complaints, also everything went better when I joined this Forum. Man I needed the help, and it was here.
Thank you all for all the help rendered

Default Gaskets

Hey got this guy I met here in Honolulu, he is a tech of some kind and he told me that there is a way that gaskets can be made using that
3 D printer or other. Dont know about all that but worth asking around.
Maybe TigerUK knows about that stuff, worth asking him or others. Once we get this known, we can get more parts.

Default Aqualand

Dutchsiberia Sir, I gave ......... $ 150.00 USD for it, squeezed it out of my stashed card. I saw it and it looked great, inquired and seller said he wants total at that price, plus $ 6.00 shipping. I said here we go again and I took it. ( Man what an obsession, Heh !) Hope I made a pretty good choice. Find out soon, will up-date on it. Incoming next week.
I'd like to go bracelet on that one, rubber and me never hit it big time.
So back to fund saving again for the Bracelet, even second hand be great. Was glad I have a special stash card for emergencies.
It's only for ............... WATCHS, YEH .

nice find!

I have had my C023 for over 15 years without any problems. I see you are also here in the islands, where do you take your citizen divers for battery replacement/service?

I've been taking my diver down to Honolulu time Service on Kapiolani.. however replacing the battery and pressure check almost every 2 years has been getting expensive.

anyone have suggestions for battery replacement?
I don't free dive much anymore, is the pressure checking necessary?

Default Batteries for changing

Aloha sushiman808,
I have couple watchs with battery power, I decided to take my leg and do it myself, since a I have learned how on this Forum. I once took it to Hawaiian Heritage Jewelers, Aiea, the women looked at me and told me nobody here does that, and that I have to take it down town to a servce place. I read up on each watch I have and decided if I was going to do this, I'd better learn to do most of it. No problem with three so far.
I have resealed my own so far, and tried to go down, and it has not given me any problems at all. Pressure is not that hard on a watch, untill
you go some way deeper. But I just go about ......... 50-80 foot so far and thats a good way I try it, it does fine. When I use to work I made a position to always do things, and triple check it before I did anything else,
Thats my habit and procedure of doing everything I do.
If I have to by a pressure checker, Then I would try to get one, but not till now. If I need one I know how to make one using a vacumm pump set up, did it for things before like pumps and sealings of things. I mademy own parts washer not to long ago, simple calculating and some reading if one does not know how, thats all. The idea is to get it to vibrate at a certain vibratory rate and it does it. I like mechanical developments so I check it out , and pursue things.
Told myself if I am going to do these watchs, I'd better do them good or quit doing them.
I'm an ex Diesel mech, and machinst, Welder. I make my own ...." 0-rings and now my crystal gaskets.
I use a comparison chart of the things I need and have the kit and a Venier caliper and Micrometers and go to it. I been doing this for years while working, so now I do it to my watchs.
I am in .......... Salt Lake
