A forgotten Ecodrive?
Just picked up this NOS beauty. Love the way its powered (F910 movement) and that it's kind-of a 'needy' watch in what it requires from the owner to keep it happy. Plenty of info to take in from the owners & citizen tech manual and from limited info on the web.
A powering technology (seebeck effect) that I find fascinating and appeals to both the horological & engineering sides of my brain.
I think it'll be a keeper and my search continues for a nice seiko thermic to sit alongside it.
Oh, and the pad it's on is a small reptile warming pad (variable 32c-39c). Charges & powers the watch when not on my wrist. Will have to see whether this NOS May 2002 watch still has a usable MT621 inside, before I think about fitting a new one. Hopefully a 150 day reserve once fully charged after 400 hours. We shall see how it goes. Only small gripe is that I can't quite get a perfect bracelet fit & the brushed stainless bracelet accrues scratches very easily! A scotchpad will sort that whenever it gets annoying though.
