Default Review of Citizen Professional Diver Promaster AutoZilla 1000m NH6931-06E

In Feb, I bought the Citizen Ecozilla, mistaking it for the Automatic Autozilla. A foolish mistake as I don't wear/collect quartz watches.

So, I managed to get the AUTOZILLA (i.e. Automatic - albeit a pretty standard Miyota movement!!) from Japan Watch, which delivered it very swiftly. I really like the 'best of all worlds' nature of the watch:
- nice and large (48mm without crown guard and crown;
- 55mm with - but wears like a medium sized watch);
- very clear markings (incl great lume) with Day-Date display that makes it a functional daily beater;
- Titanium (case, buckle and keeper) which makes it very light but incredibly damage and scratch resistant (on my wrist, it had a couple of altercations with metal railings and emerged completely scratch free);
- keeps good time -3/+5 secs/day);
- the arched rubber strap facilitates the (non-buckle side) strap to slip into the keeper very easily, with minimal intervention;
- wears really comfortably on the wrist; and
- for what you get, represents excellent value for money (but shop around...).

Only a niggling personal snag: as I'm unlikely to be doing much diving with this, I would prefer it NOT to be a fiddy/lefty.

I have had Citizen Divers in the past and all worked great. I like this one and thanks for sharing.

I've had all the Zilla range and the Auto Zilla twice now I love them all but the Ti versions of the Auto Zilla and Eco Zilla are my fav's, The Lefty of the Auto Zilla is a real plus especially for me as my wrists are 9inches and the crown on a big normal diver digs into my hand. The other thing is the Saphire crystal on the Auto Zilla its 5mm thick and theres nothing like looking into a 5mm thick Crystal.

I will be on the look out for another Auto Zilla this time as a keeper.

Wear in good health
Mark.

What a unique looking diver, first time I see something looking remotely like this, almost looks like a diving helmet "flattened" into a watch ...I know , I have a very vivid imagination.

What are these selling for , what kind of money ?

Thanks for the review. I've always liked the big roundness of these and wondered about comfort and heft. They sure look like a tank. I bet SCUBA applications are positive as the lums and large indicators would be easy to read under water. Cheers!
