Aloha ,
I myself use only .... 371 / 370 Energizers in all of mine. Never had a failure yet. But other might use some different brands
also and I am sure they will chime in also.
I have used a few ...RENATA's ... but had a couple that showed leakage. Don't know where they came from just bought them from a store here to try.
( I have a few of them also. )
NOTE:
If you just got it and don't know the service history of it and don't ...Repair these ...

" I would get it serviced along with a battery change also to be safe ".
( Just a point about these watch's. )
Louis

Thanks gentlemen for your quick responses.I had purchased on the bay from someone from france3 batteries which oddly arrived today and they are lr920 sold as the batteries for this watch.I have read enough on here and other sites that I feel confident to try and change them myself..have a few watches and watchmaker tools. And yes I will watch out for the alarm spring and check battery contacts once I remove old ones...I have read the post here where there are excellent pics of the same watch where the watch is taken apart step by step Thanks and will get back to re post and attatch a pic...the watch is in excellent cosmetic condition. The seller did state if after changing the batteries the watch does not work he will give full refund once its sent back...Cheers

Hello everyone....well bit the bullet this morning and changed the batteries on this beauty and she is back to life I have downloaded the manual and will do some reading to assure all the functions are working and I did not loose any springs....Thanks to the post here cant remember who it was but the stripping down of the aqualand with great pictures did help me a lot especially about the alarm spring...I will upload a few pics of the watch later....Now to look around the bay for a bracelet..dont like the rubber ones...Cheers
