Default 6139-6000 Fifty Year Old birthday party, soon...

I've been warned that Russian agents are on this board to poo poo claims that Seiko built 6139 watches in volume during February 1969. (Or maybe it was Swiss agents). At any rate, I want to invite everyone to the official birthday party, here, on the first.

I have pictures of two February babes that I'll post along with new JDM information that you cannot get from flea markets in rural PA or even New Jersey. These caliber watches do not exist?? Or don't exist because they don't appear in those places.

I know there are those who ignorantly (or are paid to) claim otherwise. ...Water resistant 6002's were built early on. In March, they'll be a few 6002's built for the international markets turning 50 so we'll have a party for them, too!

This is your official invite. RSVP with pictures of watches ( that don't exist?) that you wish to invite. We're going to get together here on the first of February. Be Here!

My earliest 6139s are from 1970, so might be considered underaged.

I have a few March 1969 and a few April 1969 myself.

A Feb 1969 just sold on eBay the other week.

Just don't tell where I got her. I'm trying to get another from the same South American country that used to have a man of Japanese extraction as president and that has a large percent of Japanese residents. OK? Hope she can join us on the first.

People just do not know how hard it used to be to find March and April Seiko watch material. There was a lot of stuff that went to Vietnam and never came out. BTW: 6002 was the Seiko Code for SE Asia. 6002 began as resist because of the American presence in Vietnam. Those girls will start having 50th birthdays the next month. Thanks!

I heard, but cannot confirm that the 6010 was among the earliest serial number case backs ever produced (likely the first 1000). The stamping machine did all the numbers in separate but sequential batches for each caliber. The numbers repeat after 9999 in this system ...but likely any repeats would be on different caliber case backs.

Thanks for sharing. Post a pic for the 1969 resist denying and February 6139 anything deniers. Although, I'll bet yours is Proof. Thanks

I have never seen a 6139-6002 from 1969. I would need a photo to believe that. 1970 yes.

And many were shipped to European ADs.

Evidently Vietnam was a priority for Seiko ...at that particular moment.

At least two of the "forged ...or actually 1979 horseshoe case back" watches will be having a debutant party here in March. They had to come from far away to be here.

Seiko is Seiko. They're a big company that confirms little. My work is in clinical trials. Everything is possible to either confirm or deny. You just need a large enough sample size before you can make conclusions. Evidence, when it comes to Seiko, requires more than what you feel is logical ...based on what you've seen.

Meanwhile, anyone. Please post pictures of proof 6002's from any month in 1969. The Resists are coming in March
