Default Help identifying apparent 6347 5000

I'm trying to figure out what this old Seiko I found on eBay is. I really like the case and the dial, so even though this particular watch looks pretty beat up, I want to look into similar models. I guess it's a Seiko 5, but the 5 badge isn't really legible.

The caseback says 6347 5000, but when I search for that, I'm mostly finding results about a square watch. The dial reads 6309A.

What is this thing?

I think the dial and caseback are from different watches. As you've noted the dial is signed "Japan 6309a" while the movement number on the caseback is 6347.

Note also the Daini "lightning" logo at 6 o'clock on the dial and compare with the Suwa "typhoon" logo on the caseback (just after "Japan A").

From memory the 6347 movement included a moonphase.

That's not a dial Seiko made... Complete jumble of parts. 5000-series look almost always square-ish.
Case could be a 6309-8029 or something in that area.

Thanks for the input, guys.

So I suppose it's a fake dial that's meant to look like a Rolex? Too bad, I still think it looks great in a Seiko-shaped package!
