Fantastic 6309 it looks PERFECT.

On a side note, my first Z199 is coming in today and I plan to mount it on a 7548. Looking forward to comparing it to the other similar offerings ((Z1683 or 44G!ZZ, etc.)

Does your Z199 have the "SQ" logo on the clasp? If so that would bug me. Easy enough to swap out.

Just to beautiful for words, have seen some very nice Mods but when one untouched
In this cond turns up Her true beauty shows why they will be sought after for generations to come
Tiger John just sorted out a 6309-7040 with a hacking kit that was not keeping good time.
Happy to say past 30 hrs she has been 2 secs .
Funny when she first came home she was off 30+ secs.
John said wear her for a while and sure enough past week she is as accurate as my best
GS.
I have been blessed to have a few top shelf 6306-7000 that can stay in pristine condition.
Due to having the hacking kit in my two 6309s
Thanks John for servicing this one , she is running as good as any I have had.

I hope Pete K is not reading this ...Pete you will always be the Man for all you have built
For me and others I know you will feel good knowing John looked after your creations.

Well would you believe it.

After much hunting around my numerous hiddy holes I found these.

I knew I had one but just forgot where.

Back in the 80's or 90's I remember taking the watch, with original damaged rubber strap, to Seiko in Guildford and having this stst strap fitted.

It's now fitted with a waterproof Di Modell

For me, putting a bracelet on a 6309-704x is like a like a lion wearing knickers.

Albeit sexy knickers, just doesn't appeal to me at all. Even the 7548 that was meant to be worn with it is a little weird, just like the SKX 007, I'd always see these on a rubber or nato.
