Definitely a nice piece though as others have said the pricing seems a bit steep.

I'm seeing the same with other Seiko new models. They are nothing more than a partially new design but cost the double to deliver the same. Examples turtle SE and LE, Transocean. No technological innovation but people is all over them disregarding the price.

Well done! Your description and pictures are the reason I have one in the mail right now. Got it from Chino. Can't wait.

Glad to hear you snagged one. How are you enjoying it since it's been a bit since your post?

The main update I have is that it's ran in so accurate that it's gained about 3 seconds in the last month. I wear it almost every day and I've not let it stop completely since I got it. The Diashield is showing a small bit of wear now on the polished sections in particular but is holding up very well in comparison to standard stainless steel. I know it's still a hard sell at this price point but I feel as if that wouldn't be the case if seen in person, the small details are mind blowing at this price point. I even had the idea of flipping it for a SARB035 and a SARB017, but even as nice as these two pieces are I'd feel that I'd miss the small details way too much. Absolutely love the hands. The size may be the only drawback for smaller wrists.

I know this is an older thread but it really helped me on my decision to purchase a SARX033 and I just wanted to say thank you to the OP.

Gorgeous piece, but maybe on the thick(er) side. +12 mm for a dress watch is not small by any means, but remains very manageable. In comparison with the SDGM-line it seems that the case design is somewhat simplified and that would by my only remark regarding this beauty.

It is a very good looking watch. As long as you are happy, it doesn't matter how much you paid for it.

Default A surprise!

Frankly, I would have never looked at a Seiko dress watch, as divers are my meat. But after looking over your excellent critique, plus super images, I will now allow dress watches into my line of sight..
Nicely done! Thank you; The more I learn, the more I learn.
