Default UPDATE: Anybody deal with ebay seller "miami_collection2017" ? Suspicious !

I won a bastardized 6105-811X diver, no bezel, wrong & dead movement, wrong case back, wrong hands, etc but decent dial and top case for about $175 on ebay. Immediately it was canceled?

Why? The old "my store got broken into and it was stolen but it was too late for me to end the auction" routine. Now we all know this is the oldest and lamest excuse, we've all had it layed on us, but my heart does want to leave open the remotest of chances that this guy really did get victimized and if so to be understanding.

Anyone ever deal with this seller ?

Sorry for the cancellation

I've bought 2 from him, good and bad experience. One transaction was okay and as described, the other was a 6139 mutt for parts. When I got it the movement parts were superglued together. It was still worth the $50 for the case, bezel, and inserts so I kept it and gave him the benefit of the doubt, but I no longer bid on anything he has.

Yes this was a mutt of a mutt, but correctly described as such.

I wanted the dial and case for $200 shipped with my state's sales tax collected by the ebay Overlords. I think he thinks it should have gone for sky high money, but he'd be wrong. Even the case back was wrong, but again described correctly.

Not allowed to finish the auction? This is just plain crap! He would not be allowed to alter anything after receiving one bid but you can end an auction whenever you want. If he has become a victim of burglary.... he will have a signed police report about the incident. He should send you a copy of it, the stolen stuff should be listed in there. It does sound made up, I think that you are right with the assumption that he thought of getting more for it. Sorry for you Jon, will be interesting if it dies show up again in the near future. Be it on ebay or another forum.

Hey I think your watch is listed as individual parts under another seller name from the same area
Looks like they are parting it out for much more money

OK so the scum bag is now been reported to ebay for fraudulent activities.

I will keep you posted but I really don't care if I ever get the rustbucket or not, at this point the name of the game is make this turd pay for his duplicate account fradulent excuse re-listing.

Ebay has a clear policy against sellers who do not intend to complete the sale.
This is that plus deception on top.

So here is the malarkey reply.

Unless ebay grows a set of testicles and punishes these same person multiple ID fake news dishonest scumbags who run amuck and make ebay a toxic pit, then we will have to put up with these dishonest clowns for some more time.

Oh well, I really don't care, it's a hobby and I won't lose sleep or get high blood pressure over these LOSERS.

Update:. As jringo spotted, they sold the sad dial with missing marks on the new alternate seller's account called "brvintage". "br" could possibly stand for Boca Raton but more like bull$h!+ robber.

Let's goof on this shyster. All that's left is the top case and shot crystal. He wants a laughable $189. for it. Not sure if the tube threads are good since he won't say.

So let's goof on this shyster. His Best Offer settings are not set up to reject small offers. I offered $88. and then successively 1 cent higher until all my bids were used up. Actually at that price I would be OK buying it.

Search "USED VINTAGE RARE SEIKO front case FOR 6105 8009 DIVE WATCH" even though it is a -8110/8119 case, and send him small offers that you'd be OK if he accepts. Imagine if every hour he got 3 best offers and he had to keep rejecting. It's the least we can to make this dishonest seller's life a bit more difficult.

Gone thru 2 offers so far. His first counter was 129, second one 149. Both of my offers were well below that.
