Hello people my name is Steve im from the UK and have always been a Seiko fan from the Movies, James Bond and Arnold. I quess I was always lured by the manly watch as I wear no jewellery and like it like that. Would love to get a real Arni Seiko but sadly don't ever think I can get one on my budget £150-200. So any advice would be taken on board. I'm a daddy of two married etc and a keen bodybuilder, I say that as I use less weight these day and get a better workout. Being 42 now im trying to push myself to be fitter and more healthy and save my joints. So everyone do me a favour and get off your arse lol. I can say that because 2 years ago I thought I would end up in a wheelchair having been told I have M.E. and was quite bad with it. The gym was the only thing that made me semi healthy again so I work out religiously. Take care an look forward to hearing from you.
Those are some nice photos, too!
I had arthro-surgery on my right knee (inner/outer meniscus) and MRI showed same tear in left knee. Crazy enough, a couple years of paddle tennis have toughened them up to where I hardly notice. Now, if I could just do something about that pesky old-age arthritis!
My knees are always an issue, I try not to do anything that causes too much pounding. Go very light on them, use the smith machine for squats and light weight on presses and extensions. Like John, being somewhat active is better than the alternative.
As a first hand witness to what M.E. can do to a body, it's good to hear you're managing it.
20 years ago (before it was officially "recognised") my Mum suffered with it for over 10 years. It crippled her to the extent that she was wheelchair bound and my Step-dad had to retire early to care for her. It was a long battle but she fully recovered and last week, at the age of 70, she not only came for a five mile walk with me but kept up with my pace !
