Hi Eli, I'm really glad it brought back happy memories for you mate ,I took a look at the link you sent, wow that must have been a sight to behold. The hill in the pic I posted is called Roseberry topping, it's near a small village called Great Ayton,[ it's claim to fame is that Captain James Cook went to school there.] Most of the land east of Ayton is open moorland , bleak but really beautiful IMO especially in the summer when the heather is in flower, then it's a sea of purple as far as the eye can see
Hi, Eli! Thanks for the compliment. Sounds like we are near the same age...I'm 65 and now officially a senior hahaha! I am an expat Canadian from Vancouver having lived in Japan now for 11 years. I and my Japanese wife live just south of Nara City, Nara and an hour's train ride east of Osaka city.
The wife has 2 grown kids living in Osaka now. She teaches English at several universities and I teach part time English to Panasonic employees. Watch collecting has been a hobby since I arrived in Japan in 2003. I used to be into photography alot, so I transferred the skills to watches. Not buying much these days and I have all the grails now hahaha!
