Hi Mikey

Good luck finding that Big Blue.

Cheers
Mark.

Aww, Mark, I do wish I hadn't clicked on that.      ???   Now there will be two of us chasing that rocking horse.     :'(

Seems nice and original with some wabi/sabi/fabi/dabi to my old eyes, with the exception of the '4' indice that appears to have a lumpy, almost re-lumed, look about it.

Although, checking it out again, perhaps it's just a factory irregularity, nothing to stress over though.

Yep that was it. Gave the seal a bit of a clean and it is much easier. Will hunt down a replacement. Thanks

Thanks guys, the case and bezel look great so can't wait to see it in person.

To help me make a better decision dial/hand wise in the future does this look to be original?

It looks to have that flat textile appearance that I've read about compared to the puffy dial above.

This particular sub-species of the big fish is one of only two 'gold' watches I would ever consider wearing, it's simply not a colour that does it for me as an everyday rule . . . also, I really have no clue as to what constitutes an equitable price for these glorious golden grails in good condition . . . I can't justify attempting to jag one at the moment but would give serious consideration to chasing one down in the future . . . any input from the usual and respected suspects would be warmly received, cheers folks. :)

Hi Shark,

Thanks for noticing, I was wearing a Deep Sea Sea Dweller. This one,

I find the text on the chapter ring of that Sub annoying and a blatant d bag advertising move on Rolex's part.
On the other hand great antique store / pawn shop score by an educated buyer who knew what they were looking at.

A ripper travel tale buddy and what a wonderful result, she looks totally unmolested and honest, I'm sure it will always hold a special place in your flock.  :bravo_2:
