My "new to me" Marathon SAR, just back from the spa.
« on: September 05, 2010, 12:40:26 AM »
I had the cyclops over the date removed, a 12-hour bezel insert installed, and the crown was shortened by a couple of millimeters - just enough so that it doesn't dig into the back of my hand.

The work was done by Jim Madrid in San Francisco. Jim worked on development of the SAR for Marathon and now does US warranty work for them. He also made the 12-hour insert.

Looks very nice!
I like the clean no-frills design, and I am a fan of velcro straps as well.  ;D
Best regards
