"professionally refinished" dial??
« on: February 03, 2012, 03:53:22 PM »
I've been looking for '62 Seiko when this one popped up. It looks fantastic, and that's my problem. This seller likes to "professionally" refinish a lot of stuff, and SERIOUSLY, is that case 50 years old??

I was hesitant to bring this up for fear of telegraphing my intentions, but WTH, you've all seen this one by now.

So, what do you think; real, or . .

The dial is refinished, but it's a pretty nice job. If the case was in good condition to start a very careful polishing would give a great result. still a beautiful watch.

Actually I think that's a rather shoddy job - when a redial is done properly you should expect a finish like this imho:

That is a Very Nice Refinished Dial, I look at this sellers watches Often  Most
are Tempting but This is by far the Nicest imo I have seen from Him.

ALWAYS I am looking at refinishing Dials     Because of the 5718 Dial Those of you that
Saw her.

But as time passes   I Trust she will be better left as is    But that is a Diffrent Case of a Very Rare Watch

I think this watch  The Seiko Crown   Looks nice enough to BUY
GOOD LUCK
